Sunday Morning Coffee: Adjusting

I really don’t know if it’s still a result of jet lag, or just that I spent two weeks being spoiled rotten πŸ™‚ I’m just having a hard time getting into the groove here. My sleep isn’t normal, and a lot of other things are derailed along with it. Hoping for a change in the next few days.

My ever-cheerful husbands says, “We’re getting old, Linda. Things change.”

I don’t know about that. I do know I need a couple nights of solid, uninterrupted sleep.

Isn’t sleep a wonderful thing? God could have figured out some other way for us to restore our energy, but He chose sleep to be our restorative.

Yeah, I understand this πŸ™‚

I love going to bed. So comfortable, and since I got my My Pillows and a new comforter, I’m literally sinking into a dreamy environment.

So I did some searching, and found lots of different biblical references to sleep. Here’s one website I enjoyed:

Lots of different perspectives. Sleep is a gift, but if we sleep too much we’ll be lazy and nonproductive. Sleep is a restorative; it helps us when we’re sick; it’s a daily necessity of life.

I’m thankful for sleep.

  1. I have traveled back and forth from the UK a few times. I found coming that I experience jet lag much more challenging when I come home. The 7 hour time difference is brutal for days. Definitely makes me grumpy. Change of water makes me grumpy. I’m so proud of you for doing so well on a challenging trip in spite of limitations.

    Love you , Virtual Friend
