10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but My kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.
At the second advent of Christ, the Mount of Olives will be split and removed along with other mountains and hills, and when God makes an outlet to the Dead Sea (Ezek. 47; Zech. 14:1-50.
The idea that seems to be expressed here is, “Although the mountains and hills be removed, My kindness shall not be removed from Israel, neither shall the covenant of peace be removed from them.
The God Who made the earth, after all, is totally capable of shaking it up and moving things around, isn’t He? Sometimes, I forget how truly powerful His is. It is easy to look at man, when in reality we need to keep our eyes on God. Even during elections 🙂
