Isaiah 49: 14-15.
14 But Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
Zion, not the ten tribes, complained that God had forsaken and forgotten them, but they were assured by Jehovah that such was as impossible as a normal woman forsaking her nursing infant. Even if it were possible, He would not forget Zion, for, as He said, “I have graven you upon the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me (v. 16).
