Isaiah 13:13. ” Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of His fierce anger.”
We know what earthquakes are, but we have no concept about a shaking of the heavens; nor has the earth ever been moved out of its orbit in the history of mankind.
Wrath and fierce anger. Those are descriptions we rarely consider when we think of God. So busily have we labored to make Him nothing but love, that we can barely conceive of a God so angry that He touches the heavens and the earth with such power that they tremble and are moved from the normal place.
This is a God to be feared; to be seen with great awe, and even greater respect.
