Unification

Isaiah 11:13-14. “The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim. But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand  upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.”

During the Millenial Reign of Messiah, Israel will achieve its full unity. There will be no more Northern Kingdom and Southern Kingdom. There will be not more jealousy and trouble between the two. Because they will be united, they will be able to fight off their enemies, those surrounding Israel who have for centuries been able to attack them because  of the weakness their division created.

Israel became a nation in 1948. Because there was so much animus against Israel’s independence, and restoration to its land (and still is–the attacks on Israel have never stopped)  it is difficult to find an unbiased, clear map of the nation of Israel. The one I decided to use shows how much land Ephraim had, and how much Judah claimed, prior to becoming declared a nation. You can see how easy it was for surrounding nations to attack when the Northern and Southern kingdoms were at war with each other.  Having all that land united under one flag gives today’s Israel far more power to fend off their enemies.

Today, Israel is still fighting to defend its borders. Total peace will not come until Messiah establishes His kingdom.
