Isaiah 8:15-17. “And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken. Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. And I will wait upon the Lord, that hideth His face from the house of Jacob, and will look for Him.”
Many in Judah and Israel stumbled and fell and were destroyed by rejecting the Messiah (Matt. 21:33-45; 23:37-39; Luke 21:20-24).
In verse 16, the testimony refers to what has gone before, concerning both Immanuel and the future condition of Israel. It was to be secured and kept for the godly remnant then and in the future generation As the graphic above states, the seal of God is connected with His law; His law is sealed among the true believers.
Isaiah states that he will wait upon the Lord, even though He seems to have turned His face away from Israel. Isaiah knows that God will keep His promises to Israel.
