Isaiah 2:3. “And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”
I saw a quote from Martin Luther King this morning in which he declared that he believed all people were really good at heart, and that one day there would be an end of hatred; there would be peace, and love, and no guns.
He was right about part of that, but it won’t happen until Jesus comes back to rule the world. I think it’s interesting that the verse with the picture above leaves out the last part of the verse: “For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”
Maybe the omission was made for purely innocent reasons, I really don’t know. I do know that those words will get a heated argument going among those who hate Israel with a passion. They don’t want to know that Israel, Jerusalem, will be the center of the one-world government that will exist during the Millenial Kingdom. Some would much rather another city be the source of law, like Rome, or Baghdad, or even Washington, D.C.
That may happen at some point, but it won’t be peaceful. There will be endless war, uprisings, and murders during hat period of time. There will be no peace. Only under the power and authority of God will all humanity be brought to submission to His will.
