Ephesians 6:11. “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
While scanning my news feed on Facebook this morning, I saw an article about a seventh-grade teacher who forced her students to deny the existence of God or take a failing grade. I didn’t read the whole article yet, but I will before the day is out. This is an example of the “wiles of the devil.” Wiles are tricks, false promises, underhanded methods, lies. We need to recognize this sort of thing for what it is: Spiritual warfare. We are in a battle with the Prince of the Power of the Air. Never doubt it for a moment.
God, however, is the One Who runs the armory. In Him, we have every piece of protection we need to stand against Satan. Notice that the verse says stand, not run after or chase away. Stand. The same principle is in Galatians 5:1. We are to stand on the Word, stand on the promises of God, be fully equipped with defensive armor. There is only one piece of offensive armor, and that is the Sword, the Word of God.
Satan cannot stand against God’s Word.
