Ephesians 2:12. ” That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of pomise, having no hope, and without God in the word: ”
It would be a good idea to go back and review yesterday’s post, here, to get the continuity of these two verses.
Remember, Israel was the people that God chose to carry out His plan to bring a Savior, a Redeemer, to the world. Before Jesus died and rose again, Israel lived by the Law and looked forward to Messiah. After Jesus’ death and resurrection, the whole world, not just Israel, has access to God through His Son, Jesus Christ. We no longer need to live by the Circumcision because we have been redeemed and set free by the Blood of the Lamb.
Before Jesus, were were without hope. Since Jesus came, there is hope for everyone.
