Galatians 5:25-26. “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.”
Once we have come to Christ and accepted the gift of salvation, then we ought also to walk through our lives in such a way that we will exhibit the fruit of the Spirit and not the works of the flesh. We are not to push ourselves to the forefront and demand honor and praise. We are not to aggravate and provoke one another. We are not to envy one another, desiring to have things or position that belongs to someone else.
That’s a very high standard, and one which we may find difficult to achieve. That’s the whole point. In ourselves, we can’t. But in the Spirit of God, we can.
Walk by the Spirit.
