Matthew 24:16-19. “Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!”
Judaea will not be a safe place when Anti-Christ reneges on his treaty with Israel. There will be no safe places for Jews. They will run, they will try to take cover in the mountains, but they will be so hated by the entire world that they will have a hard time finding refuge. There will be no time for anyone to return to his home for food or clothing when the intense persecution starts in the last half of the Tribulation. Doom will be swift and sure as Anti-Christ and his armies invade Israel. Women who are heavily pregnant, or who are carrying unweaned infants, will find it nearly impossible to escape.
If the attack comes in winter, it will be even more difficult to escape, to find shelter and food. If it comes on the sabbath, Orthodox Jews believe it is unlawful to travel more than a mile from their homes on that day. They will be cut down without mercy.
It will be a terrible time, indeed.
